For eight years I have been President of theDixon Animal Protection Society (DAPS). These are the remarkable rescues I have performed in that time. Each had a message for me, I just needed to pay attentionConnection, soul connection, and how it can heal, is a gift I can no longer deny. It took time and acceptance to bring me to where I am now. Leaving a disfunctional marriage in which I saw the mistreatment of an abused puppy that lead me to the hard reality that it was time to leave. And how that allowed me to grow and embrace my purpose. Living rural is a challenge. Attitudes about pets is very different here much of the time. But, my community and the animal rescue community here are truly astonishing. We do make a difference in our own world and hope it echoes into the world at large.
