Destined To Be, introduces young students to the Social Work field and the possibility for them to aspire to be a Social Worker as an adult. The book examines the main character, Jeanine’s eagerness to discover what a Social Worker does when one comes to her school during Career Week. There are other professionals that present at Career Week; however, they do not interest Jeanine. After listening to the Social Worker’s presentation, Jeanine is excited and tells her parents she is interested in helping people and now yearns to become a Social Worker when she is an adult.
