TEHRAN is a graphic novel written and illustrated by Pouya Afshar in 2018. The book revolves around the story of a six year old nonbinary child living in Tehran and aims to create a platform for dialogue about gender, sexual identity, human rights, and youth well-being in Iran. TEHRAN has been created with the support of ADVOCARTSY LA and UCI Jordan Center for Persian Studies in Persian and English.
